Asian Development Bank extends a guarantee line for trade finance development to BasisBank

Within the frames of TFP, Asian Development Bank has approved a guarantee line in the amount of USD 3 million to Basisbank to support trade finance in Georgia. The TFP is significantly expanding its regional presence and business ties between Central Asia and Caucasian region.

“We are excited to have Georgia’s BasisBank is our program. This cooperation contributes to expansion of trade development and creation of new jobs in Georgia.”- said Steven Beck, representative of Asian Development Bank.

Geographical location of Georgia gives the country opportunity to become a trading corridor between Europe and Asia. Through the increasing volume of trade Georgian banking sector will gain significant profit which in its turn will contribute to the economic development of the country.

It is noteworthy that BasisBank is the third Bank in Georgia to work with Asian Development Bank within the TFP program framework.
